At just 6 years old, Joshua Beckford, born in Britain with Nigerian descent, was the youngest person ever to have been admitted and attended the prestigious Oxford University. Here he took a class in Philosophy and History, and became the youngest person to receive distinction in these subjects.
Just a little background, Joshua has high functioning autism. He began learning letters on the keyboard at the age of 10 months. At 3, he could fluently read, taught himself how to speak Japanese fluently, and could type on the computer. He is recognized all over the world for his achievements.
Now at 13 years old, Joshua’s desire is to become a neurosurgeon and make the world a better place. Currently, he is an ambassador for the Boys Mentoring Advocacy Network, where he serves the Low Income Families Education Support Ambassador for 5 countries. He has already successfully performed operations such as removal of hernia and cataracts.
